Pennsylvania Farm Facts
By Miryam Ehrlich Williamson
You heard Rural Votes’ radio ad in New Hampshire and saw the accompanying video. Now hear what we’ve got going in Pennsylvania.
Here’s the script:
You’ve heard the speeches, now it’s time to hear the facts
Every five years, the farm bill comes up for reauthorization.
John McCain has a history of voting against the farm bill
And this year he didn’t even bother to vote at all
** Why is this important to Pennsylvania? **
** The Keystone State is 23% rural. **
** John McCain turned his back on agriculture research at Penn State University, farmland preservation, and providing locally-grown fruits and vegetables to school children. **
** He dropped the ball on expanding broadband, ignored our 4,385 farmers’ markets, offered no help to our dairy farmers and said no to getting behind new biomass loan guarantees and encouraging production of advanced biofuels. **
John McCain — he’s not voting for you
“Paid for by RuralVotes, a 501c4 advocacy group, not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.”
More to come.

Like the guitar sounds … great traveling music. Just made a small donation. Can’t wait to hear Montana.
