It’s Joe Biden — take 2

By Miryam Ehrlich Williamson

This morning I was satisfied.  Now I’m delighted.  It’s too early to show you Barack’s introduction of Joe Biden and Biden’s speech in Springfield this afternoon, but if you missed it, I hope you’ll get to see it when it’s up on YouTube or on one of the networks.  It was amazing.

When I went looking for video, I found this. It was made in January, 2008.  I hope millions of people will see it now.

Biden was eloquent and enthusiastic. He said so many excellent things I can’t begin to quote them. What I loved, though, was that Barack introduced Biden (and what a life story he has) and then sat in the background and let Biden take the limelight.  I like that — no sense of competition, or “me first,” You could see the chemistry between them is great.

This is going to be the campaign of a lifetime.

Yes, we can.  And we will.

  1. Not sure how John McCain tops that message — two leaders. A partnership. A team. And you know what? It feels like it’s for real. This is going to be an interesting two weeks.

  2. Biden will have Obama’s back. He will fight for him…I needed to see that.
