Back from Seattle
By Miryam Ehrlich Williamson
I’m back from the obesity summit in Seattle and full of stuff to tell you. The people and presentations were amazing.
It’s taken me longer than I expected to decompress and restore order in my office. My first post about the conference will be here on Monday, followed by others during the week, and the weeks to come.

This sounds fascinating to someone like me, a diet and weight loss professional. People come to me every day all hepped up to start a new way of eating so they can get control of their weight but more importantly to get control of their lives. It should come as no surprise that many people with food problems must delve deeper into why they suffer. And now I read the airlines are considering implementing a pay what you weigh program? As if people are luggage and should be weighed? This kind of approach will only heighten the fears many of my clients have, making it harder to find the path to better health. I read two other of your posts and wanted to thank you for writing about this very difficult subject,
